The University of Victoria is hosting a series of workshops to help FIRST Tech Challenge teams learn the skills for designing, building and programming robots. Most of the workshops will be lead by FIRST alumni who are current UVic students.

This year we have lots of FLL Jr. teams in BC – 44 as of today, with the large majority (33) in the Vancouver area, 8 on Vancouver Island, and 3 in other areas of BC – in Whistler, in Nelson and in Vanderhoof. Of course registration for FLL Jr. is open until April of next year, so I expect that there will be quite a few more teams coming up.

In British Columbia, the 2019/20 FIRST LEGO League season will have most teams participate in qualifying tournaments in January 2020 prior to a BC Championship tournament in February 2020.
