British Columbia’s first ever FIRST Robotics Competition will be in Victoria at the Save-In Foods Memorial Arena on March 13-16, 2018.
FIRST Robotics Competition BC Kickoff
Kickoff marks the beginning of the design and build season. Details of the FIRST POWER UP game will be revealed. Teams have the opportunity to meet to compare notes, get ideas, make friends, find mentoring teams, learn the game, pick up the Kickoff Kit from the Kit of Parts, and get geared up for the exciting competition season.

BCITSA Great Hall, Building SE04 – Following the kickoff broadcast at Telus Theatre teams will move to the Great Hall to receive their Kit of Parts

9:15am – 3:00pm – Kit of Parts Distribution, Field Element Assembly, Seminars, Robot Quickbuild

WHAT TO EXPECT:
In addition to the presentation of the Kickoff Webcast, where the 2018 FRC Game “Power Up” will be announced, teams will engage in:
– Kit of Parts distribution and inventory
– Field element assembly mock-up. Help build life size mock ups of the FRC game elements.
– Robot Quick Build. Assemble the KoP chassis and control system with the support of experienced teams.
– Seminars (located in Telus Theatre)
