The British Columbia FIRST Tech Challenge Championship was held on February 19 2017. Twelve teams competed at the University of Victoria.

The British Columbia FIRST Lego League Championship was held on February 4 2017. 26 teams competed at St Margaret’s School in Victoria BC.
On Sunday, Dec 4, the first ever FTC Scrimmage was held in British Columbia. Six of the B.C. teams were at the event and had a lot of fun.
On Dec. 3, sixteen of the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) teams from the island met for a Scrimmage. The event was hosted by St. Margaret’s, the FLL partner for BC.
On Nov. 26, over 50 FIRST LEGO League teams took part in a scrimmage at UBC. They had a chance to try out their robots and practice presenting their research projects on the Animal Allies theme.

An FTC Scrimmage is an opportunity for Teams to get together and practice competing with their robots. We’ll have the Velocity Vortex field set up and we’ll run practice matches and talk about what a tournament is like and how to prepare for it.

FIRST Tech Challenge teams gathered at the University of Victoria on Sept. 17 to find out about this year’s robot game: Velocity Vortex. They participated in four workshops and two teams received Rookie team grants for $750.
