The 2024 FIRST Championship will be held in Houston TX, April 17-20, 2024. FIRST Championship is a culminating, international event for our youth robotics competition season and an annual celebration of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) for our community as we prepare young people for the future.

Dean’s List Finalists

FIRST Dean’s List Finalists are outstanding student leaders whose passion for and effectiveness at embodying FIRST ideals is exemplary. These students were nominated by their teams for their direct contributions and impact on others – exemplifying leadership and commitment, on their FIRST Tech Challenge team, in their school, and in their community. FIRST Dean’s List Finalists will represent British Columbia in the running for the ten Dean’s List Winner spots at FIRST Championship.

FIRST LEGO League Challenge

50936 Teamsters – a community team from Nanaimo. 

Teamsters has been assigned Championship team number C 124. No detailed schedule yet but they will be found using number 124 on the match schedule. They will play 3 practice matches on Thursday and 3 competition matches on Friday.

Note: I haven’t found a fll-events website for schedule and match results like FTC and FRC. You may need to download the FIRST Championship App, the FLL Challenge section of the app will show practice and official match results.

FIRST Tech Challenge

The FTC Kickoff and welcome to start at 4pm Houston time on Wednesday.
A first round of matches will play starting about 5pm CDT.
Houston is in the Central time zone so times are two hours ahead of time in BC.
The schedule of matches will come out Wednesday afternoon after robot inspections are complete.
