In British Columbia, we’re planning for a season with Leagues, Qualifiers, and our Provincial Championships, likely in February 2022. Possibly, there will be an option for teams to compete remotely too.
FIRST® Tech Challenge encourages teams to design, build, program, and engage in thrilling robotics competitions. Guided by adult coaches and mentors, students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles, while realizing the value of innovation and teamwork. The robot kit is reusable from year-to-year and can be coded using a variety of programming languages. Students are encouraged to create team brands and be an ambassador for FIRST and STEM in their communities.
The FIRST Tech Challenge season starts with Kick-off on Sept. 18, 2021 and will be followed by Workshops in October with the videos available on YouTube.
