Robot Inspections start at 8:30am. Teams must complete Robot and Field Inspection before they can use the Practice Field.
At this point in the season, some teams may feel like they haven’t done enough or they aren’t ready for Championships. Don’t let your team skip the competition. They may be surprised to realize how much they’ve accomplished. Other teams will help your students if the robot isn’t ready for inspection.
Championships
All teams will play 5 matches in the morning and early afternoon. Then the teams will be ranked (including League matches). The top four teams will be the Captains and get to choose their alliance partners for the Elimination Rounds. After the Elimination Rounds are played, it will be time for the Awards Ceremonies.
Lunch
No food or drinks will be for sale at the venue. Students can bring their own lunch, just be sure to plan ahead and make sure all team members know the plan.
Team Social
The Team Social will be at the Oaklands Rec Centre (2827 Belmont Ave, Victoria) starting immediately following the Awards Ceremonies. There will be dinner and games. Teams wanting to catch the last ferry should leave around 8pm. The cost per person is $10. and the money will be collected at Registration.
Parking
Please see the St. Michaels map for parking information. The main entrance is off McRae Avenue. There is visitor parking near the main buildings, and you can also park in the numbered spaces on Saturday.
There is a small drop off area near the gym doors where the event will be held. The entrance for that is off Knight Avenue but space is tight in the drop off area. We recommend you drop off people using the McRae entrance, and only use the Knight Avenue entrance if you have equipment or robots to unload that you don’t want to carry in (it’s not too far). There are one way roads on the campus which mean you can’t get to the drop off area from the McRae entrance.
