Mini-Tourney #5 Show

This is the last Mini-Tourney of the season and will include an awards ceremony at the end. Awards are given to teams for their overall performance in all five Mini-Tourneys.
Mini-Tourneys are remote events. Teams provide video of 1-minute robot runs and 1-minute innovation project presentations. Judging is by simplified rubrics; refereeing is as usual. Teams don’t have online sessions with the judges or referees but will get some written feedback. Some Mini-Tourneys may include special rules.
After all teams have been scored we will run a “Mini-Tourney Show”, featuring the ten best robot runs and the ten best innovation project presentations. The show will then be posted on FIRST Robotics BC’s YouTube channel.
All teams can participate. There is no advancement from a Mini-Tourney.
Robot: On an empty table or on the floor,
1. Have the robot do an interesting dance for 1/2 min. You can make it play sounds, too.
2. Have the robot drive in a square 3 times in a row. Mark the start and end locations of one corner of the robot and measure how far they are apart after the three squares. Least distance wins. The sides of the square need to be at least 40 cm long. No time limit for this challenge.
Project:
1. Show us your team’s logo. Explain why it is the way it is, and how you made it. (1 minute max.)
2. Tell your team’s story of this season. The story has to be in rhymes, and it needs to cover the time from September to May. (1 min max.)
FIRST events are free and open to the public.
