Are you in Grade 11 or 12? Then one of our amazing sponsors Teck has a great opportunity for you!
High School Intern Week at Teck Resources Limited
Who we are?
Teck is a leading Canadian resource company focused on responsibly providing the metals essential for global development and the energy transition while caring for the people, communities and land that we love. Headquartered in downtown Vancouver.
What is High School Intern Week?
This program provides high school students (you!) with the opportunity to experience what it is like to work in a professional environment prior to graduating high school. Students will be paired with a supervisor in their area of interest and will contribute to the team, while networking, and participating in fun events and activities to ensure that they not only learn but have a positive experience.
Participants are expected to come in-person to the office Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm. There is no cost associated with participating in the program, however, students will be expected to come to the office on their own. The office is easily accessible via public transit and a parkade is located within the office building.
Who is eligible?
All students currently in grades 11 or 12 at high schools in BC can participate. We encourage participation from girls interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), as well as students who identify as Indigenous (status or non-status First Nations, Métis or Inuit).
Location: Teck’s Vancouver Head Office (550 Burrard Street, Vancouver, BC), located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
Date and Time: March 17 to 21, 9 am to 4 PM PST
