Designing Parts using CAD

November 8, 2019 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Free

The University of Victoria is hosting a series of workshops to help FIRST Tech Challenge teams learn the skills for designing, building and programming robots. Most of the workshops will be lead by FIRST alumni who are current UVic students.

Hands on workshop to learn how to design parts for 3D Printing, Laser Cutting, or machining. We’ll be using OnShape for this workshop, but the techniques can be used in any CAD software.

The workshops will be held at the University of Victoria on Friday afternoons from 4:30 to 6:00pm. Please register for the sessions so we can update you if there’s a last minute room change. This workshop will be held in room B215 of the Engineering Lab Wing (ELW) building.

We plan on live streaming each workshop on the FIRST Robotics BC YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjqJ09AW-_NL0e1OKSSqVNA

Students should register individually rather than as a team. Please register for in person attendance or live stream at: https://forms.gle/kB4mdvm8nQshByU37
